I look up to the works of David and Jennifer Pochinsky. By boldly apply thick layers of oil paint, I can immerse myself wholly in the texture and quality of the medium. This way of painting frees me from the constraints of conventional art practices and paves the way to crafting my own art style.
Born in Vietnam and raised in the United States, I studied art studio in the University of California, Davis. As a Southeast Asian woman, I believe art should be the voice of the unheard. I dedicate my practice to advocate for the Southeast Asian community, promoting its beauty as well as addressing problems within.
